Timely Ascent
An endless tower platformer with slick movement and an online leaderboard !!
The game is centered around two movement abilities. You can place down a shadow anchor and after a short cooldown get launched either towards it or away from it, depending on which ability you used. Pink is towards, blue is away. They are each on a separate cooldown displayed in the pocket watch in the top-right.
Taking damage will remove 5 seconds from the countdown, and reaching a new floor will add 10 seconds to the countdown. If it reaches 0, you lose.
Notes/known bugs:
Using fullscreen without graphics acceleration causes severe lag. If you're having trouble with lag, either disable fullscreen or enable graphics acceleration in your browser settings.
For a more in-depth explanation of mechanics, play the tutorial!
We should have fixed most of the game-breaking bugs just before the jam ended, but please still feel free to report any you may come across! I have a post-jam update planned for bug-fixing and polish.
Controls:
WASD - Movement
J or LMB - Pink anchor (launches you toward it)
K or RMB - Blue anchor (launches you away from it)

very fun game, tho the fixed aspect ratio makes seeing the top HUD a bit difficult and the timing of push and pull can be indicated more clearly but can be get used to.
This is MAD fun tbh. I would probably buy this on steam for a couple bucks
Pretty good, although I must say that there were a few issues with some areas, whether it be the hitboxes of certain things being too big or how the short loop of the music can get grating after a while if the dynamic music system doesn't change which segment to play. also the blue on the HUD indicator is a bit too dark, blends in with the background put into it if the screen is too dark.
Honestly I'm sad this Jam is so big. Like, we don't have much time if we really want to play as many games as possible. So I quite enjoyed what I played so far but I'm still pretty terrible at it lol. I'll git gud after the Jam I guess. Anyway I digress, I enjoyed the experience and good luck in the Jam.
Hey, i played it and it was real hard, because i could not see all of the screen.
